    Abbott is recruiting a Sales trainer EMEA for the Electrophysiology (EP) division to be based in Zaventem, Belgium.

    Role and Responsibilities:

    1. Lead the deployment of sales training and development initiatives including programs to support product launches

    • Lead and deploy best-in-class and innovative training approaches that combine in-person with virtual, group-based and 1:1 format to ensure that training programs are dynamic, actionable, sticky, scalable and result driven.
    • Organize, plan and schedule training events as identified and co-develop the necessary training materials.
    • Design and execute sales training programs to support commercial readiness for upcoming product launches, including classic selling skills (e.g., value-selling, needs identification, objections handling, negotiation, building trust, making the ask, follow-up)

    • Collaborate with regional sales managers and executive assistants when launching country-based training initiatives.
    • Deliver commercial content for Education training courses. Review and update content as necessary and assists with creating new resources for courses when gaps are identified. Ensure material is distributed to target audience.
    • Good knowledge of Abbott products, therapies, markets, and business objectives.

    2. Develop and support Newcomer sales training

    • Design and execute new hire sales training to accelerate speed of learning and time to revenue-generation
    • Actively support the evolution of the Employee commercial skills curriculum.

    3. Deliver advise and select strong vendors supporting sales training initiatives

    • Responsible to connect with training suppliers to ensure the appropriate resources are in place and available to meet business requirements, in line with forecasted budget.
    • Acts as the primary liaison between local training partners
    • Edit, consolidate, and distribute required training materials, as well as any other regional/local training or related project documentation.

    4. Collaborate with leadership, HR, marketing, education and customers

    • Partner closely with Sales leaders to ensure buy-in, support, and input into all curriculum, including identification of candidates for selective training programs.
    • Partner closely with marketing and education to ensure sales training and product / technical training are integrated and streamlined.

    5. Measure impact and define impact

    • Manage the training evaluation process, providing accurate management reports.
    • Develop reporting tools and creates monthly reports on various training impact measurements for senior management.
    • Responsible for database management, LMS coordination and support in data analysis.
    • Establish training project deadlines and takes initiative to ensure deadlines are met.
    • Support with tracking regional training plans, measuring launch impact and adoption of commercial tools. Ensure follow-up on training execution and implementation.

    Your Profile:

    • Master's degree or equivalent years of experience in the medical devices industry in an Education and Training position preferred.
    • Ideally, minimum of 3+ years of experience in a similar education role supporting the coordination and delivery of commercial skills training.
    • Experience with project coordination & database management.
    • Ability to design and implement training programs.
    • Experience working in an international company/cross-division business unit model preferred.
    • Demonstrated verbal and written communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
    • Experience in designing and delivering commercial education or related discipline.
    • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
    • Must be adept at handling multiple assignments, prioritizing and meeting deliverables in a timely manner.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Proven ability to work under pressure and to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
    • Proven ability of taking initiative and problem-solving skills.
    • Creativity and out of the box thinking.
    • Excellent proficiency in English is required. Any other additional language would be an asset.
    • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and in particular Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
