Join Our Team as a Senior Software Developer - Embedded Android

Location: Kortrijk, Belgium (hybrid)

Duration: 6 months

We're seeking a dynamic Senior Software Developer with experience in Embedded Android to join our team and drive excellence in software development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse product requirements and translate them into specifications and architectural designs.
• Develop back-end logic and modern user interfaces within our product range.
• Optimise execution, robustness, and use of system resources.
• Collaborate with testers to identify and resolve issues.
• Provide proficient documentation for software modules.
• Support realistic planning for development efforts by estimating work and time requirements.

Your Profile:

• You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a software development related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience coding in Kotlin/Java and C++
• Experience in developing embedded software/firmware on Android
• Experience in developing Android Applications
• Experience in developing embedded software/firmware on Linux is a plus
• You have at least additional experience in some of the following domains/tools:
• Python
• Android low level OS knowledge (knowledge of MDEP is a big plus)
• Knowledge of (embedded) Android internals
• Linux low level OS
• Network communication (TCP/UDP...)
• Multithreading (thread safety mechanisms...)
• Git and/or Svn, CI/CD, TDD, automation
• Video/Audio processing, codecs, OpenGL / Gstreamer, Qt, Android media framework
• DevOps and infrastructure
• Agile way of working (scrum, kanban, safe, less, ...)
• Fluent in English.
