The purpose of this position is to carry out and/or support all 'Accounts & Customers' - related administrative work processes and projects arising from the primary banking process in order to guarantee fast and correct customer set-up and systems for the purpose of smoothly handling customer service.


Also opening, managing and closing customer files and related accounts, e-banking and bank card systems on behalf of the various Business Units and internal departments, in accordance with CAAML ('Client Acceptance and Anti-Money Laundering') and Belgian legislation, with a focus on improving systems and processes, as well as correct set-up of data and files.


Description

  • You are responsible for the registration and maintenance of customer data, such as opening, checking and closing customer files, as well as changes regarding addresses, ebanking access, bank cards, interest rates, signature authorizations, customer profiles, etc.
  • You are responsible for entering and checking the documents and instructions provided in order to ensure that the files and accounts are correctly set up and maintained in accordance with CAAML guidelines and Belgian legislation.
  • You advise Front Office employees on processes and documentation requirements and proactively inform these employees
  • Operationally process contracts related to ebanking and bank card systems in order to ensure the set quality objectives
  • Correctly and timely resolution of customer inquiries and problems regarding account files, ebanking and bank cards (second line)
  • You assist with the drafting of new procedures, work instructions, worksheets and SOPs ('standard operating procedures')
  • Escalates technical problems or system improvements and helps analyze the problem and possible 'logging' of the problem according to the calibrated procedure
  • At the request of the team leader, the employee periodically analyzes and checks customer rates, conditions and parameters in order to identify any necessary adjustments and/or corrections in a timely manner and in consultation with the 'Relationship Manager' and operational departments concerned
  • You are responsible for monitoring the customer and bank data through regular checks and agreed cleanup exercises (using control queries and dual control), so that the bank is also protected against damage (such as incorrect interest and cost calculations).
  • At the request of the team leader, you provide input for the reporting format of statistics on opening, maintaining and closing of accounts, ebanking, bank cards, internal accounts and key controls in order to provide the necessary information to other Business Units and management to make decisions.

Profile

  • You have a Diploma of Higher Education (Bachelor) or equivalent through experience
  • You have general banking knowledge and thorough knowledge of banking systems
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English in word and writing and have basic knowledge of French
  • You can work well with Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Access
  • You put the client's interests first, anticipate their needs and give high priority to service
  • You have a proactive attitude and are very accurate, stress resistant and flexible
  • You are a critical and positive team player
