About the Role

  • The Global Brand Manager Mona Lisa is responsible for the brand plan implementation to deliver profitable growth in key markets.
  • The role holder deploys the global brand strategy develops & manages product portfolios, lands the in/renovation funnel with actionable toolkits and launch guidance, develops sales & marketing training, and designs brand activations & communication as input for the regional and local segment plans. All with a digitalfirst mindset to create effective customer journeys for the brand.
  • It is a key role in the organization collaborating across functions, and leading interdisciplinary teams to increase the efficiency of the brand performance.
  • The Global Brand Manager is part of the Global Gourmet Team, based in Belgium, and will report to the Global Brand Leader.
    Key Responsibilities Include
  • Contribute to defining the strategy of the brand: vision, values, and brand positioning. Create storytelling, write briefings for agencies, manage and influence the output of agencies.
  • Monitors sale performance and analysis of the 6Ps of product portfolio including taste, look and feel packaging, and communication.
  • Support to develop of the annual marketing plan. Influence regional markets by getting them aligned with the plan.
  • Manages innovation/product development projects. Prepare briefings, and defend briefings at product innovation meetings (PIM) Responsible for approval by PIM of all gate documents. Leads crossfunctional project team in collaboration with technical project manager
  • Collaborates closely with sales, customers (ambassadors, distributors, other customers), and chocolate academy to involve them in brand activation and communication projects
  • Develops new product proposition and communication concepts based on customer and consumer insights. Responsible for 6Ps of all new products
  • Set up workshops, delegate specific tasks to the team, gathers information, and draw conclusions. Act on conclusions by involving outside stakeholders (customers, ambassadors, distributors). Manage portfolio according to brand strategy.
  • Support marketing communities on regular basis and particularly for the launch of new products by creating toolboxes.
  • Support the regional trade marketeers to develop, strengthen and meet targets in local markets. Closely collaborate with key markets to ensure the perfect execution of global brand plans
  • Develop PR material to represent the brand to the outside world (e.g. in trade fairs) and connect it to the market in general.
  • Monitor trends, competition, and consumer behavior deciding what future products should taste and look like. Packaging definition, briefing, coordination with agencies, printers, and packaging engineers as well as final execution.
  • Implements the brand sales & marketing training program (product knowledge, sales argumentation, technical awareness, brand messaging), in collaboration with the Global Sales Capability manager, and ensures integration into the BC Training platform
  • Acts with a digitalfirst mindset and leads by example to design and implement datadriven marketing tools & customer journey activities (database recruitment, nurturing & conversion).
  • Represent the brand to customers, press, and external parties based on a clear and consistent communication strategy.
  • Support quarterly brand calls
  • Manages the brand budget

About You

  • Master's degree in Economics/Sales and Marketing
  • At least 5 years experience in marketing & project management
  • Excellent communication skills: fluent in English. Proficiency in other languages is a strong asset.
  • Strong interpersonal & relationship building skills
  • Analytical and dataoriented to interpret results into recommendations and growth plan
  • Passionate marketer mindset; ambassador of the Mona Lisa brand and its products
  • Digital native
  • Marketing planning and project management; organization skills.
