About the role

As
Energy Policy Manager EU (f/m/d) you will be part of the global Corporate Strategy, Energy Policy and Sustainability Department and coordinate our political activities in Europe and the EU.

In this regard, the topics are not limited to energy policy but comprise trade policy (trade barriers and tariffs, supply chain, human rights), agriculture policy (solar parks, agri-PV) and other relevant policy areas.

The position is
located in Brussels where we will establish a new office and offers flexibility for mobile working.

What You Will Do

• You will be the first point of contact for all internal and external stakeholders for all topics regarding energy policy and other relevant regulation on European level
• You will identify, evaluate, and internally communicate political, legislative, and regulatory developments impacting BayWa r.e.'s businesses
• You will develop, frame, and communicate our political positioning in close cooperation with the colleagues of the operative businesses
• You will establish and manage contacts with political decision makers and representatives of the European institutions, authorities, associations, NGOs, and other companies; you will prepare meetings with with these stakeholders and accompany our representatives in these meetings
• You will coordinate our association work on the European level and support the colleagues who represent BayWa r.e. in the associations and represent BayWa r.e. in selected committees, depending on need and priorities
• You will closely cooperate with the colleagues of Marketing & Communications regarding press releases, preparation of interviews, social media, website etc.
• You will coordinate the internal Energy Policy Network in Europe and support the further development of our internal structures for the political work and communication
• As a member of the Strategy Team, you will support the development of the corporate strategy roadmap and join projects with colleagues from other departments and business entities, particularly with regard to energy market intelligence and sustainability

What You Bring

• Master's degree in public policy, renewables energies, economics or similar
• 5+ years of relevant working experience in political institutions, associations, NGOs or the renewables industry
• Ideally experiences in market analysis, energy market intelligence, or business intelligence
• Analytical mindset, resultoriented and highquality work
• Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English and, ideally, in German and another main European language
• Proactive, structured, and independent working style and the ability to work in a team and to moderate
• Strong project management and stakeholder management skills
• You enjoy working in a multicultural team and organization
