Our client is Cobepa and is active in the private equity industry with offices in Brussels, Munich, and New York.

Our client has a very strong investment track record (NAV increased by 10x+ in the last 18 years) and today manages around 20 portfolio companies that are collectively worth over €4bn.

As a member of the European investment team, you will actively participate in the full investment lifecycle - from deal execution to portfolio monitoring and exit - and this in close collaboration with the rest of the investment team.

As
Analyst you will specifically be
responsible for:

Deal Execution

Perform research and analyses necessary to qualify new investment opportunities;
Assist with the financial modelling of potential investment opportunities;
Support the due diligence exercises (commercial, financial tax, legal, etc.) that are done by external consultants;
Analyse ESG related risks and opportunities;
Contribute in preparing the presentation of potential investment opportunities to the Investment Committee.

Portfolio monitoring

Assist with the review of the reporting of monthly financial figures, budget and business plans;
Follow up on market intelligence;
Provide assistance to portfolio companies in their M&A strategy (sourcing, assistance in execution) or any other value creative strategic initiatives;
Assist in tracking of multiyear value creation plan;
Monitor ESG related risks and opportunities;
Lead the drafting of the internal reporting memos.

You will have the potential to rapidly evolve in terms of autonomy and responsibilities, based on your performance.

The required
profile for the
Analyst position:

Master's Degree in Economics, Business or Commercial/Civil Engineering;
Minimum 1 year experience acquired in M&A/Finance/Strategy (i.e., Investment Banking, Strategy Consulting or Big 4) or in other private equity structures;
English fluency is a must given the international working environment of the Brussels office; fluency in another European language would be a plus;
Experience with financial modelling and valuation analysis, ability to interpret and analyse financial and quantitative information;
Ability to develop judgment on both financial and strategic matters and demonstrate business sense;
Good interpersonal skills, communicative, and a team player;
Resultoriented, rigorous, and reliable;
Agile, creative and able to take decisions;
Ambitious and willing to join a team with a longterm commitment.
