Airline Safety is a function within our airline
operator's organisation responsible for
ensuring and develop all aspects of the airline operator safety management system (SMS). The
Airline Safety function operates as a multidisciplinary team of experts driving efficiency and innovation.
The Safety Officer within each operational area is responsible for the daytoday analysis of aviation data from across the airline as part of the integrated safety management system.
In this role, you'll report to the
Head of Safety Management

ABOUT THE JOB:

Conducting and ensuring quality of root cause analysis into safety occurrences, including ensuring adequacy of immediate and preventative actions.
Conducting safety investigations
Reviewing and analysing safety data from occurrenceand hazard reports, e.g. FDM, AMOS to understand current safety issues and trends;
Qualitative Analysis of safety data
Identification and analysis of safety trends
Supporting and participating in safety action groups
To assist with the production of content for safety promotion to feedback to the reporting community and to raise awareness of safety issues
Provide expertise to the safety reporting and analysis officers and organisation departments
To act as an advocate of our Safety Culture and Just culture across the whole organisation
Actively look and report hazards and risks
Support, oversee and participate, with an independent perspective, to hazard identification, risk analysis and management of change of their respective area
Monitor the service providers safety related activities contracted by the respective Nominated Person
Support TUI airline safety projects and initiatives as required

ABOUT YOU:

Experience in translating complex data to all levels of the organisation
Experience in an equivalent role;
Understand the principles of Safety Management System
Able to build effective relationships.
Strong influencing communication and problemsolving skills.
Works well within teams as well as independently
The role requires strong business English, both spoken and written, and may involve some international travel.
