Junior General Ledger Accountant to join the finance team of the Belgium-based Headquarters in Ghent.

Junior General Ledger Accountant to join the finance team of the Belgium-based Headquarters in Ghent.

You will report to the Accounting Manager.


Your main tasks will be:


  • Timely and accurate execution of your closing tasks in the monthly, quarterly and yearend accounting closing process;
  • Review and capitalisation of all tangible and intangible fixed assets;
  • Review and approval of vendor master data changes;
  • Review, reconciliation and follow up of expense notes & incoming payments;
  • Execution of GL reconciliations and SOX controls;
  • Interact with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Assist colleagues with accountingrelated questions;
  • Execute ad hoc tasks and analysis.

Profile

  • Advanced degree in Accounting/Economics;
  • 1 to 3 years of working experience in accounting;
  • Experience within the biotech or pharma industry is a plus;
  • Experience in working with an ERP system is a nicetohave;
  • Collaborative work style;
  • Accurate, organised, analytical, communicative and able to work autonomously.;
  • Ability to comply with internal procedures and documentation requirements;
  • Basic knowledge of IFRS principles;
  • You excel in a fastpaced, resultsdriven, highly accountable environment;
  • You have a "rolling up your sleeves" mentality to get things done.
