Our client, a leading distributor of chemicals and raw materials such as steel and polymers, has recently embarked on a digital transformation.

They've replaced their legacy systems and are at the start of a 5-year roadmap that's all about data and digitalisation.

Do you want to be part of this journey and play a key role in the future of this global company?
Your responsibilities will include

Investigating and resolving backend technical issues
Working with the Lead Developer to highlight the pitfalls and benefits of different technical solutions for the user stories
Staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in backend development and the Java ecosystem

You'll be joining a large organisation with a start-up mentality. The offices are easily accessible by car (2 minutes from the motorway exit & parking available). You will be able to work from home 2 days a week.
Our client is still in the early stages of its digital journey. This means there are many opportunities to be part of the future of this digital transformation roadmap.

If you like to share your ideas and have an impact on a global organisation, this is the ideal place for you to grow.

However, it also means that you need to be able to deal with some chaos from time to time, as the structure is not yet fully defined.

A Bachelor's or Master's degree
Ideally, you've already had some work experience
You're used to working in an agile (Scrum) environment.
Technical experience: Java, Spring, Microsoft SQL Server
Entrepreneurial and dynamic attitude
A handson mentality
Strong communication skills
Thrive in a multicultural environment
Fluency in English, Dutch is a plus
