What success looks like in this role:

Role Purpose

Responsible for supporting the functionality and efficiency of one or more operating systems.
Duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and validating and implementing critical system patches and system upgrades.

Development related tasks

Responsible for the analysis, design, implementation and support of systems and processes supporting the configuration management process
Performs detailed design of components. Responsible for configuring, programming and testing technical architecture components. Fixes defects and performance related problems
May perform development, testing and implementation of processes used for configuration management, deployment and automation.
Responsible for supporting the functionality and efficiency of the mainframe MCP operating systems.
Responsible for user administration, monitoring of servers, and monitoring antivirus updates.
Perform daily checks on servers, analyze logs.
Conduct performance tuning of servers.
Conduct incident investigation. Conduct detailed troubleshooting of incidents and upgradation and provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
Resolve well defined incidents using documented procedures.
Review change requests, execute complex changes, and prepare and execute changes per implementation plans.
Perform root cause analysis for mainframe MCP related incidents.
Coordinate critical system issues as well as new product and/or system implementations.
Relay alerts and situation status information to client's system management.
Report detailed factual and analysis information on MCP incidents to the UIS support services and followup their resolution.
Prepare the implementation of technical documentation and ensure that technical documentation is current and complete.
Identify and perform a variety of independent analysis and problem resolution assignments.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

13 years of IT experience
