The main responsibilities of the role are:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting and/or law, or equivalent
- At least 35 years of experience as a financial and/or compliance manager
- Previous experience in B2B software companies is considered a plus
- Knowledge of basic accounting procedures
- Ability to synthesize complex data into actionable information
- Ability to work and effectively communicate with seniorlevel business partners
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information in a professional manner
- Demonstrated experience with MS Office, and advanced skills in MS Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Knowing French is a plus
- Monitor the day-to-day financial operations of the company
- Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting
- Prepare annual budget in close collaboration with board and management team
- Manage the company's financial accounting, monitoring, and reporting systems
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements
- Interacting with external auditors and advisors
- Ensure compliance with the company's compliance policies and applicable laws, by performing regular internal controls
- Managing and coordinating the preparation and ongoing review of policies, procedures, training materials and other communication tools to ensure departments meet internal and external compliance requirements
- Coordinating rollout and training of new or updated policies and directives when required
- Office is based in Liège, Belgium
