To join our Finance team, located at our European headquarters in
Aartselaar (Belgium), we are currently recruiting a motivated
GL Accountant:
You will act as the right hand of the Finance Manager.

The GL Accountant role has a number of responsibilities that include:

Supporting the accounts receivable and accounts payable processes
Ensuring the accounting entries for the monthly and yearly closing
Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
Calculating, preparing and submitting VAT & Intrastat returns
Accounting treatment of the payroll
Assisting in audits and any adhoc projects or business initiatives
Preparation of transfer pricing (calculation + legal requirements)
Fixed asset management
Preparation of statutory accounts
Preparation of income tax returns
Take full ownership of smaller foreign entities
Proactively looking for opportunities to improve accounting operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Profile:

You have a Bachelor's degree Accountancy-Tax or equivalent through experience.
You have relevant work experience within a similar position. Motivation and ability to learn is more important than years of experience.
You have a strong knowledge of accounting and VAT principles.
You are fluent in English. Knowledge of Dutch and French is considered a plus.
You know how to set priorities and meet work deadlines.
You have a strong analytical mindset and business acumen.
You are willing to take on new tasks and can quickly adapt to change.
You are an excellent communicator with the ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
You are an enthusiastic team player and will bring a positive attitude to the entire group.
