Job Summary

The production planner is responsible for analyzing, preparing and following the maintenance work orders as well as the improvement of maintenance work cards.

He/she works in close cooperation with our dock chiefs, CAMO type engineer and the supply chain department.

The production planner's function is to perform an accurate assignment/scheduling of man-hours, tools, and spare parts to the received maintenance tasks

Respons. & areas

Preparation and follow-up of work orders:

Analysis, preparation, and follow-up of maintenance work orders;
Tool allocation and followup in coordination with the production planners on the different bases;
Assignment of the full collection of all consumables and spare parts to perform the maintenance tasks;
Weekly status followup on helicopter, parts, manhours.

Follow-up & optimization:

Make use of the information on work progress in order to control and optimize the planning of the engineers;
Roundup and reporting, analysing of the work package, evaluation of organizational issues in the work done;
Keep track on the actual performed man hours against the planned man hours in order to adapt and optimize the production program;
Report any errors and/or discrepancies in the database;
Make proposals and tests for system and process improvements (continuous improvement of the job).

Communication:

Liaise with Chief Engineers, dock chiefs, CAMOon work orders;
Communicate with maintenance planner on received work orders;
Maintain overall fluent communication with engineers, CAMO and the Supply Chain Department.
Experience
23 years' experience in a technical environment;
Bachelor degree in aviation or relevant by experience;
Experience

in using maintenance technical publications is a plus.

Skills
Languages:
English: professional level speaking writing understanding
French: professional level speaking writing understanding is a plus
Knowledge of another language is a plus
Strong planning and organization skills
Ability to work under pressure
Budget and time sensible
Act proactive and problem solving
