Design Service Telecom Starter

As a transmission system operator, Mane operates in a rapidly evolving world.

We observe this, among other things, through the increased concerns about electricity supply and the massive integration of renewable energy sources into the high-voltage grid.

The significant challenges facing Mane require massive investments in the high-voltage network in the coming years.

To strengthen our activities in the realization of high-voltage projects, we are specifically looking for dynamic individuals who can carry out the telecom aspect of these projects as telecom designers.

The agent actively contributes to defining, developing, and implementing the telecom component of high-voltage projects (high-voltage substations, overhead lines, and underground cables) within Mane Contract Services.

Telecom Team:
The telecom team consists of two parts.

On the one hand, there are the project engineers who fully monitor the telecom aspect of Mane projects (scope, budget, planning).

On the other hand, there are the telecom designers who, under the direction of the project leader, develop the necessary plans for the installations to be realized.

Responsibilities:
During the preliminary study, assist the Telecom Project Leader (search for data, check as-built plans). During the study phase, develop and finalize the execution plans.

In more detail:
1 Monitor the planning of your various studies (priorities, deadlines).

2 Develop the conductor diagrams (overview plan of a connection), execution plans for various telecom cabinets, cable lists, plan for structured cabling.

3 Participate in the definition and selection of materials.

4 Monitor and control the quality of the work delivered in accordance with Mane's standards, norms, and working methods.

5 Customize the standards for the specific study.

6 Monitor the quality of studies conducted internally and externally.

7 Control and monitor the construction files.

8 During the execution phase, assist the Telecom Project Leader in effectively monitoring telecom works on-site:9 Maintain contact with the operator, suppliers, contractors, and testing teams.

10 Intervene and propose solutions in case of problems arising during construction or commissioning tests.

11 Attend site meetings or commissioning tests upon request to provide technical assistance.

12 During the closing phase, participate in the debriefing regarding telecom studies and provide assistance for the as-built diagrams.

Additional requirements:
1 Degree/diploma or equivalent experience in electricity, electronics, telecommunications, or automation.

2 Strong proficiency in either French or Dutch and motivated to learn the other language.

4 Experience in telecommunications is a plus.

5 Ability to work collaboratively in a team.

6 Independent, organized, proactive, and taking responsibility for achieving results.

7 Quality-oriented.

8 Interest in and understanding of new technologies in an environment that is rapidly developing to meet future challenges.

9 Good interpersonal skills, able to interact with both suppliers and internal customers.
