Here is the rough Job Description:

As the KMA Global Product Development Controller, you will work with Integrated Product Teams and their leads to set up, monitor and report on the financial aspects of all development efforts in the group.

This includes the accurate tracking of actual costs (materials and labor) and forecasting the spending for the future.

You are a critical part of the success of our development efforts, ensuring that the development budgets are met and business cases are supported.


Tasks and Qualifications:

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Establish and monitor all relevant KMA cost centers and conduct reviews with the respective team leads. This includes KMA R&D, KMA Service and KMA Product Requirements cost centers
  • Lead the preparation of annual budgets for the KMA R&D team, working closely with R&D leadership and OUs.
  • Ensure approved budgets are transferred properly to each KION operating unit and region
  • Create and track projects within the R&D team, working with the Integrated Product Team leads for reporting of project costs against budgets.
  • Develop reporting formats and KPIs for development projects
  • Review of hourly rates for direct charge employees in KMA Service
  • Assist with the financial aspects of new KMA commercial products
  • Support the business case calculations for new products, updating as needed throughout development
  • Analyze project deviations, derive recommendations for action and accompany the resulting corrective measures
  • Advise the IPT Leads and KMA Management on commercial issues relating to project controlling
  • Carry out adhoc analyzes and commercial assessments of scenarios as well as the development and introduction of new methods and tools in your area

Requirements:


  • You have successfully completed your studies with a focus on business administration, industrial engineering or a comparable course
  • You have at least five years of relevant professional experience in industrial project controlling, ideally with some management experience
  • You have a structured and independent way of working combined with analytical thinking and a resilient personality
  • Fluency in English is required. Fluency in German, French or Dutch in addition is preferred.
