    Objective of the Role

    • Ensure and optimize product manufacturability from the design phase.
    • Define manufacturing processes with a focus on standardization, productivity improvement, and safety.
    • Design and implement production lines and resources.

    Mission

    Description of Activities and Responsibilities

    • Industrialize the product.
    • Collaborate closely with other departments within the industrial sector, the engineering office, and design to deliver various outputs.
    • These outputs are aimed at kickstarting production as well as at other production sites in case of activity or technology transfer. They are based on data from the engineering manager, industrial manager, and transfer technology manager.
    • The activities related to product and project industrialization are identical.
    • - Define the sequencing of operations and elemental times.
    • - Identify tooling needs.
    • - FMEA process: analyze the different standard operations planned in the manufacturing range, identify critical points of the process, make necessary modifications for improvement.
    • - Create assembly and wiring instructions.
    • - Optimize production flows, analyze risks, rationalize layouts, improve workstations and production organization.
    • - Describe range requirements for internal and external subcontracting, create and manage the reference range in the ERP system.

    Product Deployment

    • - Design, implement, and validate production lines in collaboration with the production manager according to project needs and material flow optimization.
    • - Supervise the technical progress of manufacturing the first equipment.
    • - Update assembly instructions and various manufacturing support procedures when production activities are outsourced.
    • - Collaborate with the industrial quality department to implement self-control at workstations and production operations. Update the FMEA process.
    • - Validate tooling needs for optimization and production process flow. Maintain the database updated.
    • - Monthly analysis for each project of allocated time coherence/actual time, optimization of workstation saturation according to the production rate.
    • - Update the line risk analysis and participate in risk assessment with the SIPP manager, ergonomist, and operator. Implement risk reduction measures.

    Evaluation Metrics

    • - Reduction of actual production time following familiarization curve.
    • - KPI19: Action plans to reduce method/budget allocated time.
    • - Method deliverables in line with Design for Quality milestones.

    Profile

    Education/Experience

    • Technical degree (electronics, electricity...) or equivalent experience in an industrial environment.

    Skills and Knowledge

    • - General knowledge of standards related to wiring, electrical, and mechanical assemblies in the railway sector.
    • - Production management - lean manufacturing.
    • - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, operational level.
    • - Proficiency in ERP production and PLM, operational level.
    • - Basic English proficiency.
    • - Ability to propose ideas and convincingly present improvement projects.
    • - Analytical mindset to conceptualize, develop, study, decompose, and interpret raw input data.
    • - Ability to synthesize and gather essential elements.
