If you like to explore new markets and build plans for growth, then consider joining the new Digital Canvas Team within Barco Labs as
Strategic Marketing Manager - Digital Canvas.


Focusing on exciting new markets like New Media Art and Premium Corporate Brand Experiences, with a view to leveraging the full range of current and future Barco technologies, you will mine market trends and engage with and map out the eco-systems and opportunity of these markets to come up with winning value propositions and strategies to activate them.


You will work closely with Product Management, Business Development and Marketing teams across Barco evangelising and enabling these value propositions through an optimal solution & service portfolio activated via a solid Go-To-Market plan.

You will form insights that matter and share those insights in relevant fora to develop thought leadership representing the Barco brand.

You will brief our marketing communication experts on solution and segment campaigns needed to position Barco's value propositions strongly in these new markets.


Your decisions and actions will be instrumental in creating new business opportunities for Barco whereby you influence international and multi-disciplinary teams on a daily basis.

Your role is key in translating Barco's product/engineering DNA in customer focused experiences, and your experience as a strategic marketeer in a new growth initiative will be an ideal steppingstone for a wide range of future career tracks at Barco.

Your profile

  • You hold a university degree combined with at least 58 years of relevant management experience ideally across a variety of functional domains including marketing
  • You have an entrepreneurial mindset with a market driven orientation and the ability to influence and inspire different teams in our organization
  • You have experience in complex value chains and ecosystems with different influencers and gotomarket approaches
  • You have indepth experience in implementing relevant frameworks to map trends and insights, size & segment markets, build value propositions for specific customer personae and work through business models. You are at ease in collaborating with marketing communication specialists as well as enable sales and business development teams.
  • You are a strong strategic thinker, but also pragmatic & structured enough to set the right focus for execution and simply get things done. Being a selfstarter, making small budgets work in a big way & setting up your project plan of attack autonomously will be important in this new venture. Being creative, curious & comfortable in challenging the status quo is also crucial to be successful in this role.
  • You have very strong teamwork & communication skills to effectively navigate complex matrix organization structures and to build successful external relationships in the field
  • You are fluent in English with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely
  • Experience and affinity with the art, architecture and design communities would be a key asset
  • Affinity with B2B environments where technically complex solutions are sold is a plus
  • You are open to regular travel, up to 25 % of the time

Key Responsibilities

  • Build a profound understanding of new target segments: overall trends, ecosystem, market size & segmentation, customer and buyer types & their journey, needs, competitors,
  • Establish the Go-ToMarket plan, including:
  • Drive and coordinate marketing and sales programs both in channels as well as segments
  • Commercialization strategy and key messages.
  • Assess segments, channels, value proposition, competitive differentiation and positioning to ensure strongest competitive advantage.
  • Identify and activate strategic partnerships
  • Provide factbased market and buyer insights and needs as the basis of any business case
  • Take ownership for the full Customer Journey
  • Be a sparring partner / coach of customers, regional segment marketers and sales teams on the Digital Canvas strategy, value proposition, solutions, services and marketing
