GEOxyz is an independent company specialized in hydrographic, geophysical & geotechnical and topographical surveys, site investigations, off shore renewable energy support and crew transfers.

The Company operates primarily in the North Sea basin and liaises with highly qualified people (about ~ 180 employees) as well as state of the art assets (vessels, measurement and analytical instruments).

The current business has about €60,0 million worth in sales.

In search of a survey manager:

As the survey manager, you are responsible for the survey department. You manage all needs and will define the direction of the department and guide your team towards its goals. You detect the team's needs and act accordingly. You are also responsible for survey installations of vessels.

Your main tasks:

You are responsible for general direction and structure of the survey department You manage and support your direct reports (survey support team, senior personnel and coaches of the field crew) and you keep an overview of the overall performance and functioning of the whole team. You are also responsible for the overall budget of the survey department: not project related people costs, license costs, survey installations and methodology improvement costs,... You represent GEOxyz from survey technical point of view during client visits You determine requirements within the department regarding personnel. Therefore you will be involved in the recruitment process and you will set out the training and onboarding program for the team. You are overall responsible for survey procedures and survey documentation You monitor new developments with regard to hydrographical and geophysical survey software and hardware You give internal support with your team to other departments (Tender, PMO, crewing,...) You have knowledge of QHSE and follow the QHSE guidelines of the company and take an active role in QHSE awareness and leading by example You report directly to the COO
What do we expect from you?:

You have a master in a survey related discipline such as geology or geophysics

You gained 5 years of experience within the sector, preferably offshore / nearshore business You have good people management skills and have experience with leading a team You are good at organizing and coordinating You are fluent in English You are willing to travel occasionally
