Role Overview

The RIC-B organization is looking for a
_battery technician_ to join the SSBA (Solid State Battery Applicability) laboratory. You will depend hierarchically to the SSBA Lab manager.

Being part of the activities of SSBA lab linked to the Battery Platform, close continuous interaction is envisaged with the project technical leader, the scientists and the other technicians of the team.

As battery technician, you will participate in the development of the next generation of battery technology, in terms of materials, formulations and manufacturing processes.

You will contribute to the success of projects and programs in the field of batteries by carrying out activities in our specific battery laboratory on Brussels' site.

In this position, you will:

Develop and characterize battery materials and formulations
Carry out experimental activities of R&I projects in the lab according to the requirements (e.g. timing, quality) of the technical project leader/scientists.
Analyze results, review and validate assumptions with the support of the project leader/scientists.
Deliver and document the results and share these with the project leader/scientists

Education and Experience

Bachelor in Chemistry, or Material Science, or Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience
Experience in at least one of the following key R&I domains is a plus: lithium battery, melt processing, electrochemistry, polymer physics.

Skills

Fluency in French is required, good notion of English, other European language is an asset
Openmindedness, teamwork and curiosity
Desire to spend time in the processing laboratory, extrusion and lamination processing mainly.
