    Summary

    The Client Development Executive (CDE) plays a crucial role within the EMEA sales team, reporting to the Global Client Development Director.

    The CDE collaborates closely with Sector Leads and Managing Directors, often being the primary point of contact during initial engagements with potential clients, offering tailored Carbon & Data Management and Decarbonisation Solutions while ensuring top-notch service delivery.

    The Global Client Development team is expanding rapidly, underscoring the importance of the Client Development Executive's contribution to the team, driving the top-of-the-funnel process to generate high-level Sales Qualified Opportunities successfully.

    Focusing on optimizing relevance for the target audience, reaching out to C-level executives and other key stakeholders, sharing insights with colleagues, the Global Market Development team, and business units where necessary, in order to accelerate client engagements, shorten sales cycles, and actively contribute to seizing opportunities.

    Job Description

    As a Client Development Executive (CDE), your responsibilities will include:

    • Delivering Sales Qualified Meetings (SQM)
    • Engaging in a 70/30 split role: 70% new business outreach and 30% prospecting/developing Enterprise Accounts as guided by the Global Client Development Director and Sector Leads
    • Collaborating with the Marketing team to align strategic campaigns for outreach
    • Ensuring prompt follow-up on all Marketing-Generated Leads (MQLs) and campaign outreach efforts
    • Soliciting ongoing feedback from Sales on meeting quality and potential for opportunity creation, primarily during post-call discussions
    • Participating in monthly territory calls between Client Development and Sales teams
    • Meeting KPIs as set by the Global Client Development Director
    • Taking part in training sessions and other team-wide events as needed
    • Working closely with Sales Operations and Sales Enablement teams
    • Adhering to an Omni-Channel selling approach, utilizing Account Based Targeting strategies to enhance sales speed
    • Forecasting individual sales targets and identifying areas for improvement and growth
    • Developing ongoing personal plans to enhance sales and account management skills
    • Keeping abreast of the latest EMEAI Sustainability news and sector challenges, sharing insights in weekly team meetings
    • Sharing best practices and lessons learned

    • Preferred BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Management, Operations, or related field
    • At least 3 years of successful experience in a sales role focused on revenue generation, preferably in consultative sales of intangible solutions. Knowledge of the energy sector is advantageous
    • Demonstrated track record of surpassing personal KPIs
    • Experience with digital tools like Salesforce, Pardot, 6Sense, Zoominfo, etc., to boost sales productivity
    • Acting as a collaborative partner within Sales, Marketing, and senior leadership, displaying a growth mindset and a willingness to learn and implement new strategies
    • Ability to maintain a focus on value creation at every stage of the process
    • Proficiency in technology, utilizing SaaS applications to enhance productivity and translate data into improved outcomes
    • Strong communication skills with a focus on building solid relationships with key stakeholders in Sales and Marketing
    • Capacity to interpret personal sales data and reports to enhance personal efficiency
    • Nurturing your sector expertise alongside your business acumen, striving to maximize engagement and optimize opportunity creation
