    Job Description

    Do you want to play a key role in the energy transition? The Client Group's Works Procurement team is looking for a driven Procurement Officer to join our dynamic team.

    The Client Group's Procurement team is located partly in Brussels and partly at 50Hertz' headquarters in Berlin. The department plays a key role in the construction of The Client's and 50Hertz's grid infrastructure, contributing actively and directly to energy transition.

    The Works team is responsible for the strategic procurement for the execution of works in our high-voltage substations (electrical works and civil works) as well as works to be carried out on our high-voltage lines, pylons and underground cables. As well as the follow up of projects in progress (from a commercial and contractual point of view).

    The mission:

    · Develop innovative procurement strategies based on market knowledge for projects and manage the entire procurement process, including market publication, bid analysis, negotiations, bid evaluation and project awarding.

    · Work side by side with passionate colleagues and internal experts to understand the needs of our projects and align them with the market.

    · Build expertise (market and technical knowledge) within your category in order to (help) develop a strategy in the short and long term. This in collaboration with a multifunctional team to identify improvements and opportunities.

    · Take the lead in setting up procurement procedures for critical projects.

    In addition, the following items may also be part of the mission:

    · Follow up on projects in progress (from a commercial - contractual standpoint). This includes: Following up and negotiating additional costs charged by the supplier, ensuring that contractual conditions are met (quality, planning, safety, etc.). This requires onsite visits.

    · Building bridges with suppliers to achieve our goals for energy transition. Working closely together with the Supplier Manager.

    · Alignment with your peer at 50Hertz (Berlin, Germany) to share insights.

    · Sharing your market and category knowledge when negotiating contractual terms



    Requirements

    Service requirements

    · a master's degree in a technical or commercial field or have a technical - economic background through experience.

    · A strong technical affinity.

    · work autonomously but you are also a great team player.

    · analytical, strong communicator, persuasive and dare to question existing methods.

    · fluent in Dutch and French and have a good knowledge of English.

    It is an asset if the service:

    · Has experience within procurement

    · Has experience with SAP and/or Ariba

    · Has experience in project management

    · Has experience with MS office and/or PowerBI

    Requirements
    Planning, directing, coordinating, and managing the processes for writing and developing the software programs are tailor-made for you. You manage the daily workload of the development team and ensure that work is assigned, prioritized and completed within defined KPI's. Together with your team you are constantly improving processes using the best practice method. Naturally with an eye to efficiency for the future and to achieve project objectives. Collaborate with various department heads and management team in discussing how the software developed can be improved and enhanced to achieve the project objectives. The Agile Scrum principle is not unknown to you. You like communication in all its forms. You will therefore do this at regular intervals with the business
