ABOUT WHIRLPOOL CORPORATION

The team you will be a part of:

The Government Relations team analyzes and evaluates the impact of government policy and regulation on the organization's activities and objectives. Develops and maintains policies and programs to ensure organizational awareness of government legislation and/or regulatory issues that affect the organization. Ensures that the organization's interests are represented and protected in legislative proceedings and in the development of market rules and procedures.

This role in summary:

This individual will support with Regulatory Affairs in EMEA for SDA (Small Domestic Appliances).

The outcome is global 5 year SDA platform product plans that consistently deliver product leadership to the markets/brands in Europe and EMEA.

Your responsibilities will include:

EMEA compliance counsel leadership
DNG Update Country Requirements Database for Europe
DNG artifact creation for Europe
Revision with UL of all requirements for SDA (discrepancies fixing, clarifications, etc)
Safety IFU update
Monitoring IEC/CEN
Monitoring IEC/CEN
Monitoring IEC/CEN
APPLiA EU meeting
Monitoring EMC for SDA

Minimum requirements:

35 years product development experience
Technical degree

Preferred skills and experiences:

Ability to influence and drive consensus across regions to converge on solutions that leverage global scale while still delivering on regional needs
Technical Skills in Standardization area
Proven business case development/value creation experience
Exceptional strategic thinker
MBA (preferred)
