POLITICO Europe is seeking an intern starting in September 2023 to join its Brussels-based POLITICO Live team for a period of 4 months.

POLITICO Live is the live extension of POLITICO's unmatched journalism and we work closely with the newsroom in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

In this role, you will support with the production and execution of high-profile, newsworthy event programs across the full range of the POLITICO Live portfolio.

Our internships offer a great opportunity to learn the necessary skills for recruiting and managing top level speakers; drafting content for our marketing communications; managing internal communications with other departments and external guests; and discovering how to deliver successful and hard-hitting events.

You will interact with colleagues from a wide range of departments across the company, including Editorial, Sales, Marketing and Logistics.

What You'll Do:

Program development:
Speakers' recruitment and management:
Assist in identifying and recruiting highlevel speakers
Manage speaker liaison throughout the project development and onsite at the event
Logistics:
Support the Events Operations Manager
Coordinate stage set up, catering, badges, distribution materials, hostesses
Project management
Support Project Managers to ensure a smooth delivery of highquality events(preevent preparation & postevent reporting)
Draft notes and detailed agenda for event moderators', speakers', clients' call
Assist project managers in creating and updating programs and microsites
Ensure a constant update of the database throughout the production process
Marketing support:
Draft marketing briefs

What You Will Need:

Ability to multitask and must have excellent analytical, communication and organizational skills.
Fluency in English; knowledge of other languages, such as French, German, Spanish and/or Italian is preferred.
Selfmotivation and determination with a strong sense of personal initiative

Additional Internship Information
Internships generally last three to four months. This position is only available for student training as part of university or graduate coursework.

Please note that as per Belgian regulations, internships that are part of university or graduate coursework cannot be paid, however, compensation toward lunch and transport to the office is provided.

During the course of their internship, all interns will need to be located in Belgium as our offices are in Brussels.
