Our Supply Chain Mission? To become a globally recognized EMEA supply chain team, which continuously innovates and improves quality of service in a transparent, compliant and patient-centric way.

The Supply Chain department is responsible for Sales & Operations Planning and Inventory Management for the EMEA region.

Our goal is to improve synchronization and decision making across functions within EMEA by improving collaboration and aligning the organization around a single operating plan, supported by the right data and tools.

We aim to balance demand and supply and ensure healthy inventory levels that maximize customer service and minimize backorders and obsolescence.

Together with the Customer Service department and the European Distribution Center (EDC) we act and collaborate as one supply chain team.


Job Summary:


As a Lead planner in our European Distribution Centre (EDC), you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations planning of the warehouse facility.

This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a deep understanding of warehouse processes and logistics.

The Lead planner plays a critical role in ensuring efficient and effective distribution of products while maintaining a focus on safety and quality.

You will report directly to and be guided by the Warehouse Operations Manager, Ronnie Willems.


Responsibilities:


As our Lead Planner, you will be responsible for the daily organisation and follow-up of the Inbound and the activities of the Outbound planning team.

Therefore, you will contribute actively to the optimization of work processes, wave scheduling, task prioritization and consolidation. You will ensure that resources are available and will define the demand based on the productivity.

You will anticipate and react on operational issues to ensure KPI's are met.

In addition, you will ensure proper and clear communication to colleague Leads, planners, managers, and other departments to maintain transparency throughout the organisation.

You will ensure the timely receipt of products from internal and external suppliers which enables continuity of the business.

You will also follow up actively on the inventory operations, including:
stock levels, warehouse and planning capacity, slotting, and masterdata management. Furthermore, you will organize the IFY and labelling flow.

Within your role, you will actively contribute to process improvements. Therefore, you will participate in and/or lead small logistic projects. You will measure performance and analyse data to define areas of improvement, develop action plans and manage performance reporting. You will implement out of the box thinking and will create room to test proposals for improvement. You will also play a key role in internal and external audits in collaboration with other departments, becoming an SME in the warehouse processes


You will build partnerships and work collaboratively with other supply chain teams to improve customer service and the work organization.

You will operate in close collaboration, especially with the EDC Lead Coaches to facilitate the workload control and together form a strong team that strives for optimization and stands for teamwork.

You will demonstrate strong leadership skills and change management competences. Consequently, you will support the growth and the improvement of the EDC.

You will always take the environmental, health and safety & wellbeing culture into account while acting in the role of the Lead Planner.


You will follow up on and adapt the process of the customer orders to the predefined timetables and service level agreements.

You will adjust scheduling according to the priorities.


Profile Description:


  • Bachelor degree or equivalent by work experience preferably in logistics & warehousing
  • Previous experience in supply chain, planning systems and in logistics activities
  • Computer minded: able to work with ERP systems like SAP
  • Very good knowledge of both Dutch and English (written and spoken)
  • Basic people management skills
  • Team player and decision maker
