As a Scientific Advisor, you will be responsible for the review of (non) promotional materia. You will lead - together with the Head Pharmaceutical Governance - the Copy-approval process of all (non) promotional materials developed within the specific Therapeutic Area, aligned with the local rules and regulations (RD 07/04/1995, the Copy-approval SOP, the GSK Code of Practice for Promotion and Customer Interactions)

  • You will also be responsible for developing training materials and ensuring medical and scientific training of newcomers. These materials are produced efficiently, are accurate, balanced and strategically aligned and meet the strictest internal and external codes of practice, standards and laws
  • You will support the Pharmacovigilance Manager in accordance with the National Regulatory requirements and the Internal Standard Operating Procedures
  • You will Supports the other Scientific Advisors
  • You will support the Head Pharmaceutical Governance in the context of the Responsible for Information and Publicity (RIP) responsibilities
  • You will support the development, adaptation and implementation of local Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • You will Perform Management Monitoring activities
  • You will Provide support in the translation of the Summary of Product Characteristics (SmPC)

These responsibilities include some of the following:

  • Leads together with the Head of Pharmaceutical Governance the copy approval process for locallyderived (non) promotional materials
  • Establishes strong working relationships and collaborates with key internal stakeholders (Brand Managers, Multichannel, Medical Affairs) to efficiently deliver training materials
  • Gathers and shares bestpractice across the LOC to ensure high standards and excellence is maintained across the organization in terms of Copy Approval
  • Fully understands and always meet the requirements described in the GSK Code of Practice for Promotion and Customer Interactions
  • Fully understand and comply with local codes of practice, guidelines and laws to ensure the strictest requirements are met particularly with respect to delivery of promotional verses nonpromotional information.
  • Supports the Pharmacovigilance Manager in accordance with the National Regulatory requirements and the Internal Standard Operating Procedures
  • Supports the Scientific Advisors in accordance with the National Regulatory requirements and the Internal Standard Operating Procedure
  • Performs Medical Affairs activities related to Classic Brands (only applicable for Scientific Advisor responsible for Classic Brand), may contribute to other TA medical affairs activities (internal or external facing) to support the brand medical manager
  • Act as backup for RIP during absence of RIP (only applicable for Scientific Advisor with RIP agreement number and when communicated to the Belgian authorities).

Basic Qualifications:

  • Master degree as pharmacist/physician
  • Languages: Dutch, French and English (spoken and written)

  • Computer skills: basic skills and ability to search internal and external databases
