Role overview:
We are looking for a Director with excellent leadership skills and an entrepreneurial mindset to lead Hanover's Brussels Health team.
The Director will work with a raft of the leading players in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors in Brussels and across Europe, working across a range of different disciplines including public affairs, policy, corporate affairs and wider stakeholder engagement and advocacy.
As the leader of the Brussels health team, they will play an integral part in driving the wider health business and agency forward as well in managing, coaching and mentoring team members.
They will also work seamlessly with colleagues in both our London Health teams and wider Hanover Brussels team to provide clients with a fully integrated offering and develop creative, breakthrough programmes to deliver client objectives.
Hanover Health has been an integral part of the Hanover Group's overall growth.We have won agency or team of the year awards every year since 2015 as well as individual programme awards.
The team works with the most exciting healthcare and life sciences organisations, responsible for some of the most important breakthroughs in medical science.
With over half of the world's top 20 pharmaceutical companies, as well health tech businesses, institutions and charities amongst our clients, we offer a diverse and compelling range of issues and opportunities.
They would be part of the small Hanover Health Leadership Team with an active voice in strategy development and ongoing team leadership.
Primary responsibilities:
Strategy development, leadership and responsibility for Hanover's Health Team and offer in Brussels. Provide a comprehensive and complementary strategic overview of all client and prospective client services ensuring they are informed by broad intelligencegathering on client, sector, competitors and policy environment Provide broad and detailed client counsel on relevant political environments and advise how they might contribute effectively to the political process Demonstrate an active and everexpanding new business network in Brussels and across Europe that can provide significant business development opportunities including crossselling and upselling with the other offices within the Hanover Group Maintain regular senior level client contact to build relationships and identify any relevant opportunities and threats Identify and evaluate research needed to support new business pitches, writing tender documents and supervise the development of all materials required for pitches Work with the Talent team in identifying potential employees to join the team Nurture, inspire and lead the wider team, including through agreeing a training strategy for all individuals Undertake financial management, including invoicing, monthly accounts and budgeting Drive quality assurance and standards, and the implementation of relevant policies and procedures across the team Take responsibility for team internal communications, coordinate regular team meetings and other internal announcements
Skills and experience:
- Proven track record of experience working in Healthcare public affairs, preferably with consultancy or other client
