    Fluxys is an international energy infrastructure group with 1, employees active in gas transmission & storage and liquefied natural gas terminalling.

    For our office in Brussels (Guimard) () we're looking for a Quality & SMS Manager (m/f/x).

    Fluxys Belgium analysis and controls the risks linked to the development, operations and maintenance of its installations. Our Safety Management System describes the working methods to guarantee the safety of our staff, residents and the integrity of our installations. Our Quality team is also responsible for the continuous improvement of these procedures and the conformity with the legislation or latest standards. This is only possible through a close collaboration with all functions within Fluxys, technical or support and by ensuring our teams are competent for their tasks. In order to guarantee this last point, we develop technical trainings using the latest technologies (e.g. Virtual Reality).

    The Quality & SMS Manager makes the organization work more efficiently and improves overall knowledge and quality by ensuring the Safety Management System (SMS) certification. He/She carries out these responsibilities by developing transversal process methodologies, by following up on the Feedback Loop and by implementing internal workable procedures and instructions.

    Your
    respon­sibilities

  • You establish and maintain the structure of the Fluxys SMS (Safety Management System), monitor the development/maintenance of documents
  • You prepare and organize the teams for external audits and controls, SMS Management reviews and monitor the resulting action points
  • You develop / update and implement quality documentation, templates, instructions and make clear workable procedures and instructions available for employees
  • You identify opportunities to develop a transversal overall "process" view of the Fluxys activity blocks, support process analyses and the development and documentation of the improved processes
  • Through technical audits, you monitor actual practice in the field, feeding the feedback loop (Plan/Do/Check/Adjust)
  • You supervise the development and organization of technical trainings
  • You lead three small teams: the SMS Management & Quality team, the Technical Training team and the Technical Compliance team; you engage, coach and provide guidance to the team members; coordinate and supervise the day-to-day operations according to priorities and competencies
  • You translate and implement the department yearly objectives into individual objectives, guidelines, framework/procedures, day-to-day activities and projects for the SMS Management & Quality team

  • You have a solid experience (more than 10+years) in a technical function in an industrial environment with strict quality requirements
  • You are familiar with the principles of quality management; the knowledge of Pipeline Integrity Management System (PIMS) (Code Technique SMS 07/06/) is an asset
  • You are at ease with stakeholders and change management, you are to-the-point and can summarize messages at the right level according to the audience
  • You are able to build strong relationships with the business stakeholders as well as strong partnerships with service providers
  • You take initiative, can motivate the teams, are a good listener, keep an open mind to new ideas and respectfully takes other opinions in consideration
  • You are result-oriented and a team player
  • You are fluent in Dutch, French and English
  • You show a keen interest in the digital/technology matters, people and the energy transition
