The IT infrastructure platform specialist accompanies our internal customers and partners in the journey towards next generation ICT solutions.

The infrastructure platform specialist in this job description is an expert in the area of container orchestration technologies (Kubernetes preferably) and serves a key role in interfacing with the partner as well as in the IT infrastructure solution delivery for the «Business» and technical projects within the PROXIMUS Group, especially within his area of expertise.

The infrastructure platform specialist will define and validate the building blocks and solutions within his area of expertise, by translating and validating technical/functional Proximus needs into solution requirements.

When required, the specialist will set-up together with suppliers ad-hoc LABs to test new infrastructure solutions.

Next to this, it's expected that s/he will take leading role in continual platform improvement, developing new business and participating activities in innovation track, in the scope of his/her area, with assistance of his/her technical lead.

Next to this he/she will work closely with the internal clients, project managers and sponsors, for the translation of the requirements into the High-Level design IT solution, processes and tools.

(During next 2 years, the IT infrastructure platform specialist might be asked to collaborate and coach the partner in the Low-level design too).

The role requires participation in all project phases, from initial intake through maturation, execution and project launch.

The IT infrastructure specialist role will play a key role in the future of CSC and will ensure the design and delivery of IT infrastructure solutions to the business and ensures the implementation for our internal customers.

Technical knowledge:

Knowledge of containerorchestration technologies (Kubernetes preferably).
Understanding of the strategy of PROXIMUS, information technology and innovation.

Profile

Experienced in:

Translation of the business and operation requirements into the infrastructure technical specification, roadmap and endtoend architecture (HLD/LLD) design.
Experience in translating and validation technology needs into technical/functional requirements.
Analysis of the technical and financial impact of projects on IT infrastructure and processes; TCO analysis & ROI assessments on IT solutions

Communication skills:

Collaborate with customers and partners, project managers, sponsors, technology teams and managers for the definition of the complete impact on the IT infrastructure; budget & planning and the building and provisioning of the solution as required by the project.
Knowledge of English. Knowledge of the second language is a plus.

Soft skills:

Selfstarter with the ability to manage projects and other tasks under mínimal supervision
Customer focused, results driven, analytical, leadership,
Strong communicator and collaborator

If he/she doesn't meet all requirement, he/she may be considered in case of demonstrated strong interest in evolving towards these competences and ability for fast learning.

Presence of recently achieved certification(s) and/or completed studies in professional area is a strong plus.

Experiences and/or skills that would help you in this function.

Knowledge/Experience in SaaS, PaaS, IaaS platforms, as well as strong knowledge of LINUX technology
Design, coordinate and execute pilots, prototypes or proof of concepts, provide validation on specific usecases
Experience in integrating tools and services for all areas of IT infrastructure, such as data, security and networks.
Understanding of the building blocks of IT (virtualization, SDN, network infrastructures, physical & virtual storage, datacenter computing, backup & recovery technologies, databases, middleware, disaster recovery and business continuity technologies)
Understanding of the key infrastructure components; UNIX, LINUX, Windows, ORACLE, SQLserver, Apache, SAP, WebSphere. jBoss, Weblogic, VMware, OpenStack, OpenShift, Docker.
Understanding of project management lifecycle and methodologies.
Understanding of Agile; experience working with Scrum framework is plus
Good to have exposure to multi cloud environment

Required Profile

Knowledge in one or more of the following technologies: Linux, Networking, Virtualisation
At least basic knowledge of containers and container technologies, and be ready to develop expert knowledge in this area
