PURPOSE OF THE ROLE


Changes in healthcare systems with advances in medicine and health technologies have accelerated the use of Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) to support decision making on adoption of new technologies across multiple stakeholders.

To prepare for successful market access of our innovative medicines, argenx requires timely evidence of value for Healthcare Decision Makers.


Argenx is committed to engaging with Healthcare Decision Makers and influencers to better understand Payer, HTA, and governmental organizations requirements to align market access evidence generation initiatives to provide the right evidence at the right time to accelerate patient access to our innovative therapies.

The


HEOR:

Pipeline Scientist in coordination with Research & Development, Medical, Market Access, and New Product Planning, leads the development of a strategic HEOR plan to maximize product value, price potential, and patient access.

They will actively participate on product and therapeutic area matrix teams to ensure alignment with clinical development, regulatory, market access, medical affairs, and new product planning.

The successful


HEOR:

Pipeline scientist will lead research projects and initiatives within the strategic HEOR plan in coordination with relevant internal matrix teams.

Ensure that such projects and initiatives generate timely and quality value evidence to support pricing, reimbursement and access decisions during product launch.

Within the cross functional product development teams they will influence clinical trial design and development to maximize product value by aligning product development, clinical evidence, and regulatory labelling to differentiate assets and build an aligned value proposition and value story.

HEOR:

Pipeline scientist will facilitate dialogue, deliberation, and consensus building to generate, synthesize, and package HEOR data and evidence in support of argenx's innovative therapies for communication with payers, health authorities, patient organizations, and other decision makers.


Select and work with external providers and internal capabilities to generate HEOR data and evidence to support pipeline assets building the basis for market access evidence strategies and suitable for informing market access at key stages of development.

Work with key HEOR opinion leaders and healthcare decision makers to establish the credibility of the HEOR research program and raise the visibility of argenx and its products.

REPORTING LINE


He/she will report to the Head of Global HEOR and will closely collaborate with colleagues in Cross Functional Teams and Sub-teams concerning Research & Development, Clinical Development, Business Development, Regulatory Affairs, Market Access, and Commercial.


ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Develop, advance, and maintain Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) data generation plans with input from Market Access, Medical, and Commercial for demonstrating the value of argenx pipeline products.- Establishes strong cross-functional relationships with internal argenx stakeholders to influence clinical development plans to incorporate important endpoints and design features into clinical trials.- Ability to assess the HEOR needs related to specific diseases and pipeline assets and develop and execute programs of research aimed at preparing the necessary data package for pipeline products- Proposes and defends the rationale for funding an HEOR activity plan aligned with strategic initiatives.

Effectively executes against that activity plan within budget.- Leads scientifically rigorous HEOR studies and manages projects from concept through full execution, including reporting the evidence at scientific congresses, in peer reviewed publications, and proactive/reactive argenx communication tools- Is viewed as an internal HEOR expert who is fully integrated into the argenx cross functional teams and provides critical input into the development of effective communication tools and programs for optimal market access.- Collaborates with Sci Comm in development of HEOR related publication strategy- Demonstrates the ability to make decisions on selecting external organizations and researchers with appropriate expertise for research collaborations- An argenx ambassador leading engagement with external stakeholders such as patient organizations and undertakes market shaping activities in support of patient's needs.- Interacts effectively with patient groups, physicians (KoLs), and payers to understand the burden of diseases that are the target of argenx's pipeline products.- Establish and maintain effective relationships with key HEOR influencers and academics to shape methodological advances and research agendas in support of argenx business objectives.
