Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is currently looking for a Senior Manager Quality Control Microbiology at the Beerse site in Belgium.

The Beerse QC Microbiology lab supports various business units of Commercial (Beerse/Geel) and Clinical Supply Chain. The microbiology lab is responsible for testing finished products, excipients and packaging materials. The microbiology lab also performs tests for cleaning and process validations, stability and API. In addition this team coordinates environmental monitoring at the Beerse and Geel site.

The Senior QC Manager Analytical Chemistry reports to the Director Quality Control Beerse.

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for and lead a team of about 40 professionals and technicians ensuring reliable QC testing in support of the Beerse/Geel Commercial, Clinical supply chain and ad hoc J&J customers within the global network.
You ensure that all quality systems are timely and properly executed such that internal, customer service and Health Authority expectations are met.
You ensure that new projects and techniques are introduced in the lab.
You will be a member of a global microbiological network.
You manage key performance indicators to drive improvements and customer satisfaction.
You act as a spokesperson for the various processes within the lab during inspections by health authorities.
You develop cost control initiatives.
You attract, hire, develop and mentor talent.

Qualifications:

You have BSc / MSc in Microbiology, Pharmacy or a related field of study.
You have 10+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or a highly regulated industry of which at least 5 years as a people leader in a management role.
You have excellent influencing and change management skills.
Would be helpful to have knowledge of pharmaceutical legislation, cGMP regulations and guidelines.
You are able to motivate people and make progress in complex situations.
You are an excellent communicator.
You have the ability to build a network and create winwin solutions.
You speak and write English fluently. Speaking Dutch is an asset or you are willing to learn Dutch.
