    The Supply Chain Manager will set-up and oversee all logistics operations in the region, including inbound, outbound, warehousing and trucking transportation in Europe.


    Our client, based in Antwerp, is a multinational chemical company with global presence. For their European head quarters they are expanding their resources which gives their current need.

    The Supply Chain Manager will:

    Define and implement a sustainable supply chain strategy for a (nearly) new market in Europe to make sure all logistics activities are managed, third party warehousing and associated services, transportation.

    Engage and manage a team of 1-2 logistic professionals in the start-up phase, more to follow.

    Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements.

    Handle the sourcing of third-party contractors (warehouse, transport, other logistic services) including operational contracts.

    Introduce operational standards and procedures.

    Monitor and control budgets and expenditures.

    Advice inside and outside the organization on import and export restrictions, local customs regulations, laws and procedures, tariff systems, insurance requirements, quotas, or other customs related matters.


    The Supply Chain Manager we are looking for has/is (a):

    Solid track record in logistics is a must, preferably in a similar role

    Experience within (ideally all below):

    o Inventory management / warehousing

    o Import and export of shipping activities

    o KPI management and monitoring budgets

    o Regular contact with Customs/Customs brokers

    o Team Management and supervision.

    o Tolling/Manufacturing chemical management experience.

    Fluency in English (other languages are a plus)

    Willingness to travel both national and international:

    o Frequency to be confirmed, but indicated now on 10-20%

    o Within EU normally for 2 day trips, outside EU for a week

    Master degree within a Business, Management, Logistics/Supply Chain

    Experience in ERP, especially Microsoft Dynamic AX/SAP is a plus.


    The Supply Chain Manager we are looking for, can expect (a):

    - Very attractive salary

    - Bonus (in warrants)

    - Meal vouchers of 5 euros per day & Eco vouchers of 250 euros per month

    - Hospitalization insurance, including life & disability insurances

    - Group insurance

    - Net allowance of 165 euros per month (+ 50 euros for parking rent if applicable)
