Team Lead Lab
Your purpose as our Team Lead Lab, leading a team of 65 people, is to
- take responsibility for the management, leading, planning and organization of the Central Laboratory (Process and Quality Control Lab as well as Analytical Service Lab) in support of the Production, R&D departments.
- ensure QHSE compliance (as QHSE- engineer for the department) with local laws and internal regulations, including occupational health and safety, industrial hygieneand ensure availability of appropriate emergency response and medical services.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Define the short, mid and longterm management of the Central Laboratory, to enable the most accurate, costeffective, qualitative and efficient measurements, tests and analyses, with a strong focus on creating a safe work environment.
Take responsibility for drawing up and following up the budget for the Central Laboratory. Manage laboratory work costs and realize synergies and sustained competitiveness of laboratory operations and services.
Check and assess results and conclusions of laboratory work and follow up the correctness of the results, range of the tests and presentation of the end results to ensure that the best possible support is offered to the internal and external customers.
Manage all activities required to safeguard the ISO quality systems within the laboratory and the operation of the laboratory in accordance with legislation to ensure that qualitative support can be offered that complies with legislation.
Coordinate and organize the activities of the laboratory according to the priorities and competencies of each and requirements of the customer, regardless of whether it is an internal or external customer, to ensure an efficient and effective service can be offered that meets the quality criteria of the organization and are according to Bayer regulations and legal requirements.
Point of contact for internal and external lab related matters. Maintaining smooth communication with the production departments as well as with external parties/stakeholders. Ensure that adequate laboratory services are provided in cooperation with those internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure you are wellinformed about the evolutions related to laboratory analyses and organization and that your knowledge is uptodate within the context of new developments to ensure your credibility can be strengthened by offering a service that is continuously based on updated knowledge.
Coach and work on the development of your employees to ensure their competencies, skills and knowhow are used and developed to the best advantage and to work as a wellfunctioning department. Ensure the provision of training and education programs according to Bayer regulations and legal requirements.

WHO YOU ARE

Doctor in Chemical Sciences with outspoken leadership/motivation/coaching skills and a track record in managing and leading a department in an industrial environment
Driving Results, excellent analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot
Good stakeholder management with the ability to influence and negotiate and a team player
Strong focus on safety and quality and good knowledge of ISO Quality Systems
Inclusion & Diversity Mindset
Dutch is mandatory and fluent in English; an additional European language is a plus
