Are you looking to enhance your technical capability by working in a global manufacturing environment that allows you to leverage best in class systems and technologies? If so, this Production Manufacturing Operations Manager role could be an ideal opportunity to explore.


Note this is a 12month contrat (CDD).
The position is based at Wavre site in a building dedicated to polio vaccine production. The First Line Leader will join the operational production team and report directly to the Head of Production.

As a First Line Leader you will be responsible for extending the scope and effectiveness of site operational programs.

These responsibilities include some of the following:

1. Production

  • Supervises and manages the daily operations related to the production of vaccines (bulk). Is in charge of the material input and environmental monitoring team.
  • Follows the production plan
  • Evaluates the resources necessary for its realization
  • Uses resources where it has the most impact and is most critical to the organization
  • Ensures compliance while remaining agile and corrects gaps as soon as possible
  • Ensures the followup of KPI's related to Quality, Supply and EHS in its area, monitors them and guarantees the deployment of possible actions
  • Identifies valueadded activities and does what is necessary for his team to focus on them
  • Is able to carry out investigations for deviations from its sector
  • Is involved in the definition, execution and/or coordination of Change Controls in its sector
  • Provides resources for running validation protocols
  • Dare to say "no" by giving meaning and stay aligned with priorities
  • Animates or participates in certain governance meetings
  • Participates in the drafting of production documents
  • Simplifies, standardizes and challenges the status quo for continuous improvement purposes
  • Knows the ecosystem and continuous improvement tools and applies them on a daily basis to contribute to the continuous improvement of production activities and resources
  • Ensures compliance of operations with cGMP and authority requirements and contributes to production quality in close collaboration with QA by taking corrective actions if necessary
  • Is task owner in the eCCs
  • Writes and is the owner of minor and major deviations whose problems are related to his field of activity and is responsible for the definition and implementation of the associated CAPAs
  • Ensures effective communication and optimal collaboration within his team, and visàvis other partners (TS, QA, Supply, HR, EHS, support teams, LT) within his S/MPU
  • Applies the recommended processes while ensuring compliance with Change Management processes

2.Leadership

  • Manages his team by a daily presence in the field of at least 50% in line with the standard agenda

3. EHS

  • Ensures compliance on EHS topics in his field of activity and develops the EHS mindset within the team
  • Ensures that all people working in its production area remain safe at all times
  • Ensures that all risk assessments are carried out and of the understanding of the risks by his team
  • Participates in risk assessments with the risk assessor and benefits from the support of the competent functions
  • Understands and ensures operational implementation of risk assessments
  • Regularly checks that the training of his team is up to date as well as the risk profiles
  • Implement corrective actions and monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions
  • Ensures transversal sharing of CAPAs in its community of practice.
  • Follows EHS processes and anticipates as much as possible
