De functie:


The Financial Controller plays a critical role in managing financial operations, overseeing the consolidation of the Group, and providing strategic financial guidance.

This position requires a professional with a first relevant experience in financial reporting, analysis, and consolidation.

The Financial Controller will work closely together with the Finance Team to ensure accurate and timely financial information, contributing to informed decision-making and overall success of the Group.

More specifically, some of the key tasks/responsibilities of the function includes:


Financial Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements for the Group and its local subsidiaries.
  • Implement and maintain robust financial controls/processes and reporting systems.
  • Provide insights into financial performance, trends, and key metrics to support strategic decisionmaking.

Consolidation of the Group:

  • Lead the consolidation process for the Group, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Work closely with local accountants of the subsidiaries to streamline reporting processes and improve efficiency.
  • Conduct periodic reviews to identify potential financial risks and opportunities.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Collaborate with the Finance Team to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor actual performance against budget, providing variance analysis and recommendations for improvement.
  • Play a key role in longterm financial planning and scenario analysis.

Group Support:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate the audit process.
  • Help in maintaining a close relationship with banks, lawyers, fiscal experts and internal & external accountants.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within the Finance Team.

Het profiel:

Education and Experience

  • Prior experience within the spheres of investment companies, holdings, advisory firms or private equity environments is a plus. Alternatively, a background in bluechip audit firms, coupled with financial experience for investment companies is also considered appropriate.
  • Language: perfect knowledge of English and French. Knowledge of another language is an asset.
  • Proficient computer skills and indepth knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel and Powerpoint).
