Expectations for the role


Main Job
Responsibilities**:


  • Efficient and effective coordination of hiring needs by department, ensuring business needs prevail in decision making
  • Keeping abreast with legislation changes and updating policies and procedures accordingly
  • Effectively coach and support people managers for performance and talent management processes
  • Build and maintain relations with external partners (legal, recruitment ) to ensure wise leverage of those resources and risk management
  • Be a strong advocate for the Transformation Project that Buckman will go through
  • Work with local management team to develop and implement engagement and retention plans
  • Union and legal representation relations management
  • Lead and or participate to assigned company or departmental projects to achieve specified deliverables and results
  • Manage Buckman People Processes and ensure compliance
  • Facilitate talent stewardship through communication and training on HR practices and processes.
  • Serve as expert in change management processes to positively impact organizational effectiveness; provides guidance and coaching to leadership team on change management.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
Minimum requirement to apply

  • Successful experience in HR business partnering function (5 Years as minimum)
  • Strong human resources experience and knowledge of Belgium legislation
  • Financial and business acumen
  • Preferred experience in multicountry role with proven track record in supporting development of highly performing teams
  • Experience in managing union relations
  • Experience in developing and implementing organizational structure
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree a must
  • Minimum presence in Ghent office is 3 days per week
