**EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
**Essential Qualifications/Experience: - Required to have an expert knowledge on Microsoft SQL server with HA/DR support as main DBMS technology currently in use

Desired to have a basic understanding of Oracle, MySQL and PostgreSQL Databases Administration
Current and indepth knowledge and practical working experience of Microsoft Windows server operating systems (latest versions) in a LANbased clientserver environment using Active Directory Services/LDAP
Practical and recent working experience of Unix/Linux operating systems, as well as MS Windows Servers
A good understanding of more advanced architectures like server clustering and virtual infrastructures
A good knowledge of the issues and techniques of information processing and web services and storage facilities, including practical analytical experience of IT servers and system architecture implementations
A good awareness of access security and knowledge on security policies implementation with good understanding and knowledge of systems usability

DUTIES/ROLE:

Database administration

ü Performs routine installation, re-configuration, backups of database and related products on on-premises and cloud environments

ü Develops and configures tools to enable automation of database administration tasks

ü Defining and implementing an upgrade strategy to keep the DB platforms up to date

ü Keeping up to date Software Lifecycle (roadmap) management of database products

ü Monitors performance statistics and create reports

ü Analysing the customer requirements, estimating the cost of implementation and Operation/ Maintenance of the requirements

ü Identify and investigates complex problems and issues and recommends corrective actions

Systems installation and removal (HSIN8)

ü Undertakes or supervises complex installations and deinstallations of systems or components, including handover to the client for on-premises and cloud environments

ü Develops procedures and standards for installation and handover to maintain and improve the installation service

ü Schedules installation work around client priorities and resource availability

ü Ensures adherence to established safety and quality procedures

Database Management System (HTS Level 4

ü Creates a system to improve the security and efficiency of the database management system

ü Develops a theoretical understanding of a database management system, including issues and considerations

ü Designs standards and policies to regulate database management system activities

ü Monitors database management system industry trends and market directions

ü Elaborates and presents information on issues and solutions for a wide range of database management system projects

ü Leads in the establishment of best practices for the database management system
