Description Overview:

Currently seeing a General accountant who will perform a variety of accounting activities in accordance with accounting principles and standards to control the organization's financial resources, and ensure that it complies with all relevant regulations, laws, and reporting requirements.

Scope of the Role:

Perform a variety of accounting activities in accordance with accounting principles and standards to control the organization's financial resources and ensure that it complies with all relevant regulations, laws, and reporting requirements.
Reconcile accounts, post journal entries, and maintain a complete and accurate general ledger in accordance with accounting principles and reporting schedules so that the organization has a full and accurate statement of its financial position.
These reports may include profit and loss statements, balance sheets, depreciation statements, debtor and creditor lists, repayment schedules, regulatory reports and filings
Frequently reports to a Senior accountant.
Assures adequate documentation/support of transactions and reports (SOX Environment)

Experience Required:

Professional Bachelor degree or equivalent; typically a minimum of 2 years' work experience required.
Ability to function in a remote team
Experience in a large international environment, is an asset
Solid knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office tools, is an asset
Able to show initiative and work independently to meet deadlines
Good communication skills (oral and written)
Fluent in English
