Hauptaufgaben
As an Educational Aid (Summer Hire), you will primarily work with children from 5 to 11 years old and will perform the following duties:
‐ Serve as an Educational Aid in any of the Child and Youth Services program and/or age groups and maintain control of and accounts for whereabouts and safety of children and youth.
‐ Plan, coordinate, and conduct activities that meet the physical, social, emotional and cognitive needs for program participants based on the group and individual children and youth.
‐ Establish a program environment that sustains participant interest and promotes positive interactions with other children, youth, and adults.
‐ Help prepare, arrange, and maintain indoor and outdoor activity areas and materials to accommodate daily schedules and provides program options for children with special requirements.
‐ Maintain program participation data and complete daily report.

US Army in Belgium is an American government agency whose mission is to provide logistical and administrative support to the US personnel at NATO and SHAPE in Belgium.
• DESCRIPTION OF THE OFFER
‐ 3 positions
‐ Student Job (Summer Hire) for a maximum of 600 hours
‐ Full‐time (38 hours/week)
‐ Regular Work schedule, Monday to Friday
‐ Salary: from 2,677.41 EUR gross/month

The student will not be entitled to leave accrual but will observe legal Belgian holidays.
The selectee must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs, walk, bend, stoop, and stand on a routine basis.
The contract can be renewed until the selectee reaches the maximum of 600 hours of work for the calendar year in progress.
Incumbent may be non competitively selected for the same Educational Aid (Summer Hire) position during the following calendar years.
• REFERRAL AND SELECTION PROCEDURE
The Civilian HR Service Center (CHRSC) will review each application and will refer candidates to the management official who will make the final selection. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for position without regard to political, religious, or labor organization affiliation or non‐affiliation, marital status, race, color, sex, national origin, non‐disqualifying physical disability, or age.
The SELECTEE will:
• Provide an extract of criminal record: "Modele 2". This document may be requested to the local resident registration office.
• Must successfully complete and maintain background checks
• Pass an English test
• Pass a medical evaluation
