Green Snowballs
Throwing snowballs is fun. Two boys were having fun. They were teasing a snowman. The snowman lost his head. Although he was a snowman and losing his head was not the real issue, he did not like how the two boys were teasing him all the time. If he would have legs, he would run. To another forest. To be in peace.
The young boys did not really care, they just wanted to have fun. More fun. Luckily Father Christmas kept an eye on the winter scene. He decided to intervene. He only does it in times of true need. He had some options but he chose a colorful pathway. He colored the scene green. Now what?
The green color matched the color of the trees so the young boys could not make a difference between the trees and the snowman. Snowman could relax more. Now the things were turning. The snowman could see better in green. The trees were supporting him. Before the young boys could count to ten, they felt green snowballs on their bodies.
They had legs so they could have escaped, but they were too scared. The young boys were simply in fear. The snowman felt bad for the young boys. Seeing them in fear did not make the snowman happy. He was a good being. Cold but he had a heart of sugar. So the snowman made eye contact with Father Christmas so to say enough, they have had their lesson.
The boys noticed that no snowballs were coming in their direction anymore and they apologized. Now they had felt themselves how it is to get snowballs on you. It is cold and can hurt a bit. They decided to do something good in return. They made a house of snow with a little bar for the snowman and his friends.
Whenever snowman wanted to have a cool drink with other winter beings, he could enter the bar or stay in his new shelter. Snowman felt loved. He thanked the young boys and Father Christmas? He forgot to change the color again, that is why in one part of the world it is always green, even when the night turns into day. The trees are fine with it. Let us call it the green community, where care is the key.
