The Four Trees

In a forest far away, the trees were talking. Some of them seemed very upset. As everything and everyone is connected, the atmosphere was tense. Little tears fell down. Sadness all around. Rain was falling. Even the birds were out of sync. No song. They were silent. No smile. It was cold. Grey clouds covering the sky above. 

The issue was caused by four trees, standing tall together for ages. More and more they were longing for space. More space. The forest was not big enough anymore. Incredible but true. Instead of communicating about it, the four trees were swallowing their frustrations and anger. Team spirit gone. They felt less love for each other. One by one they got sick. 

The situation became worse. The other trees started to talk about the four fellows. Nobody knew when it started. They all realized that it was a terrible thing. The sources of the forest were running out of energy. There was anxiety. Stress. Some trees were depressed too. One tree  was blaming the other one. Reflections of the self. Manifestations of ego.

The four trees even started to hit each other. In the core. Painful to watch. They all hoped that one tree would go. A relationship expert for connected trees in trouble was called by the oldest and wisest tree. A bird had to translate the words of the expert so that the four could hear the message.

The expert examined the four trees. He listened to the story of each one of them. Finally heard. Glad to express their trouble. Seven days later he understood the cause very well. He suggested  a healing recipe. It was clair to him that the four never learned to set boundaries. Afraid to say no. They were kind and good but had to face a lesson.

Step by step the four trees learned to tap into their energy field. They had to make a list of things they loved to undertake. Focusing on what felt good, for them alone. Not depending on the other for the whole day. They were asked to draft a whole report. It was pure fun. In the evening they had meetings together. Sharing their experiences. Twenty one days later a new habit was created.

They also grasped that they must learn to say no. Boundaries. Full stop. A sign of self respect. Not long after that the love returned in the forest. Never again the trees complained about needing more space. It was just a mental cage. They changed forever. Grateful for their brothers and sisters. Standing so near. Warm and close. The most beautiful song could be heard. True love appeared.
