- Uitvoeren van curatief mechanisch onderhoud: verhelpen van storingen aan de hand van ontvangen opdrachten, zodat de (productie)werkzaamheden zo snel mogelijk kunnen worden hervat uit het oogpunt van techniek en veiligheid.
- Uitvoeren van preventief onderhoud aan de hand van controlelijsten preventie, teneinde mogelijke problemen inzake continuïteit en stilstanden van de productie en haar installaties te voorkomen.
- Uitvoeren van ombouwingswerken op aanvraag van productie ter voorbereiding van de productiecampagne.
- Uitvoeren van werkopdrachten in het atelier, om de voortgang van herstellings- en productiewerken te bevorderen.
- Assisteren bij nieuwbouwwerkzaamheden en het in bedrijf stellen/uittesten van nieuwe apparatuur om zich vertrouwd te maken met de (onderhouds)technische aspecten van nieuwe apparatuur.
