Job Summary


We are looking for a skilled Data Specialist who will support our teams by turning company data into valuable information.

Your role goes beyond merely providing data, you are also skilled in the technology supporting it.


As a data specialist, you are responsible of the entire data lifecycle (A-Z): from understanding and capturing large data sets in a complex data landscape to full-fletched BI dashboards for all levels within the organization, that can drive tangible business results.

As Data Specialist you will be part of the Digitalization and Performance Improvement team.
This function is not limited to Ostend and can be performed from any European NHV base.

  • Respons. & areas
  • Mine and analyse data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies
  • Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques
  • Use predictive modelling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting and other business outcomes
  • Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes
  • Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy
  • Identify valuable data sources and automate collection processes
  • Ensure / Manage unified approach to data interpretation and definitions for content
  • Undertake preprocessing of structured and unstructured data
  • Present information using data visualization techniques
  • Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges
  • Act as SPOC and sparring partner for the organization on reporting, analysis and data processing
  • Experience
  • Experience
using statistical computer languages (Python, SQL, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets

  • Experience
MuleSoft integrations is an asset

  • Experience
working with and creating data architectures

  • Proven experience (>2 years) as a Data Scientist or Data Analyst
  • Experience
in data mining

  • Experience
using business intelligence tools and data frameworks

  • Skills
  • Analytical mind and business insight
  • Strong math skills (e.g. statistics, algebra
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong problemsolving skills with an emphasis on product development
