Your team and your responsibilities
Team/division description
As part of TME R&D organization, the Powertrain Division is responsible for local development of powertrains for vehicles built in one of the TME production plants, and for planning and research of new European technologies. Latest focus points include electrification, big data and connectivity.
Your project
With increasing electrification in the automotive industry, electric motors play a crucial role in future powertrains. Your project is about investigating new electric motor technologies.
-Innovation scouting through literature and patent landscaping
-Make roadmaps for technical aspects of electric motors
-Rate and summarize technology benefits and technical hurdles for industrialization
-Focus on sustainability aspects of electric motors (magnet LCA, 'green e-steel' , insulation materials)
-Investigate circularity potential (re-use, recycle, refurbish) materials and components
