    The Council of Bureaux (COB) is the managing organisation of the International Motor Insurance 'Green Card' System.
    • Operating under the United Nations' aegis, COB is closely involved with the EU institutions to enhance the free movement of vehicles and streamline the settlement of international motor accident claims.
    • Its national Member Bureaux represent approximately 1500 motor insurers in 48 countries across Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East.
    • COB also provides secretarial services to the Guarantee Funds, Compensation Bodies, and Information Centres established in the Member States of the European Economic Area.
    COB is seeking a Risk & Monitoring Coordinator to join its Secretariat on Avenue Louise, Brussels.

    Description of the Role: The Risk & Monitoring Coordinator will be a full-time member of the 15-person COB team. Reporting to the Managing Director, the role will be within the Risk & Monitoring and IT department, overseen by the Risk & Monitoring and IT Manager and two IT Coordinators. The responsibilities will include:

    • Monitoring the financial stability of the entire MTPL Green Card System and its Member Bureaux/markets.
    • Providing support to various committees and working groups within the COB system.
    • Delivering detailed statistical analyses and reports to facilitate decision-making within the team and broader Membership.

    The role entails occasional travel within Europe. Start date is targeted for July-August 2024.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Risk monitoring: Identify, describe, and estimate risks impacting the financial stability of the MTPL Green Card system.
    • Financial analysis: Conduct detailed financial and statistical analyses, prepare reports, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
    • Committee and working group support: Coordinate Monitoring Committee meetings, collaborate with IT and legal teams for various committees and working groups.
    Requirements:
    • Degree in economics, management, business engineering, or a related field.
    • Strong statistical knowledge and analysis skills.
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Power BI knowledge is advantageous.
    • Good understanding of risk management in complex international environments, preferably in MTPL insurance.
    • Excellent written and verbal English skills, French proficiency is a bonus.
