Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine Research and Development, is recruiting for a Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) position supporting IM R&D operations organization.

The SFA will provide financial support for key activities related to affiliate funding process and flex vendor management. Completes financial planning process. Reviews monthly closing and provides reporting in a timely and accurate manner. This role will focus on implementing analytics, reports and dashboards utilizing tools such as Alteryx and Tableau. Participates on cross-functional work teams.


What you'll do.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead all aspects of the budgeting/forecast and quarterly closing process for IM R&D affiliates and flex expenses.
  • Work closely with external vendors (Flex).
  • Provide insight and analytics to the business partners in Procurement, Global Development and IM R&D Finance on Flex and Affiliate expenses.
  • Focus on operational improvements and implement analytics through utilizing Alteryx and Tableau to provide better insights to the business.
  • Understand the business and being actively engaged in key business challenges, decisions, and opportunities. Provide support for Development finance organization, which is a global organization.

**To be successful, you demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within a matrix business locally and regionally/globally. You have a demonstrable history of developing strong business partnerships and successful collaboration.


Further requirements include:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required, preferably with a major in Accounting or Finance. A CPA, CMA, or MBA are also preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Excel & PowerPoint) & Alteryx.
  • Strong business communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills is required.
  • This position requires a highly motivated individual with strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, and proven leadership skills.
  • Ethical behavior in all areas of responsibility, and act as a role model for J&J Credo values.
  • Challenge status quo and have an operational improvements' approach.
  • This position will be based in Beerse, Belgium
and may require up to 5% domestic and international travel.
