A Sweet Little Story About A Yellow Rabbit

A glorious smile from the sun. A new day full of joy. The earth felt the loving warmth. Deeply rooted. In a green forest not far away a rabbit mother was playing with her three children. Little boys with a taste for adventure as little boys usually have. The little rabbits were playing hide and seek. They were laughing out loud. The trees and the plants were enjoying the scene. Father rabbit was away for a hunt in Orange County. A day or two away for healthy rabbit legs. The youngest of the rabbits - the most naughty one - suddenly saw a sunbeam and decided to follow it. His two brothers were too focused on hiding to see the youngest one leave for his adventure.

The sunbeam made a trace through the forest. It was confident that the little rabbit would follow. The birds noticed the little rabbit and sang a honey sweet song to support him on his exciting journey. Chopin would have noticed the true art of their performance. The little rabbit was eager to catch the sunbeam. The sunbeam was delighted to have such a young and enthusiastic fan. Left, right, around the tree, the sunbeam and the little rabbit were dancing together in the forest. Laughing and feeling the joy deep inside. Suddenly there was a box in the middle of the forest path. The little rabbit was curious, the sunbeam too. Unexpected meeting.

The eyes of the little rabbit got bigger, his ears went up. Slowly but as a true discoverer he took the risk to climb on the box. The birds stopped singing as they were too curious what would happen now. The little rabbit jumped higher. The box opened. The little rabbit fell in the box. He felt a substance on his rabbit skin. It was sticky and it smelt different than he was used to smell. Not a carrot, it seemed. He loved carrots as a bear loves honey. The little rabbit spent a time in the box and the sunbeam saw instantly what had happened. The little rabbit was covered in yellow paint colors. Someone had left the box by accident in the forest.

The little rabbit did not know that he was covered in a yellow dress. The forest contained no mirrors. The sunbeam imagined a plan. It guided the little rabbit and brought him to a small lake. The sunbeam stopped. The little rabbit was thirsty. The moment he saw his reflection in the water he was surprised. What a shining color. The sunbeam smiled. 'You and me, we are now very similar, little rabbit', it whispered. The little rabbit did not mind the change of color. On the contrary it made him jump even higher. He felt more energetic than ever before. The sunbeam decided that it was time to send the little rabbit home. In half a day - sooner than expected - the sweet little yellow rabbit arrived back home. His little bothers were shaking for joy when they saw their little brother.

Mother rabbit wanted to talk with him in private. The little rabbit was so cute in his newly colored dress. 'Oh you little sweetheart', said his mother, 'I cannot be mad at you. Look at you. You went on an adventure and it made you even more beautiful as you already are.' She gave him a big big rabbit hug. The little rabbit smiled. He was tired after such a big adventure. The sunbeam was happy. The day was a gift. Time for the sunbeam to go back to its source. The little rabbit went to his sleeping corner. He slept for a long time and dreamed wonderful dreams. The color yellow never went away. The little rabbit was gifted with extra joy. Wherever he would appear, people would feel his sunny heart shining through. A magnificent being. Full of light.
