An Executive Coach for Father Christmas
Father Christmas got tired. Every year he had to be in top condition to manage his team around the world. This year was different. His legs were painful. His back felt sore. Yet, the children were so looking forward to receiving their gifts. He had to find a way to make this Christmas even more special to them.
The old man looked in the mirror and smiled to his own picture. Luckily he was still positive. Smile proved. “How do I overcome my weaknesses?”, he asked the mirror. The mirror was smarter than all intelligence in the universe together and did some research. The old man waited patiently.
Ping. The answer came. Just like that. The words were readable from the mirror. Nevertheless the old man needed his glasses. “You need a coach, not just a coach, but a species called “executive coach””. Father Christmas said to himself, “that is all?”. It seems so easy. We have to make a note here. The holy man never resists new insights. So he was not even doubting the advice from his trusted mirror.
As a manager Father Christmas was not always an example. He could not communicate well with his team and always expected more from them, to be left behind with tons of frustration because the team did not do what he wanted them to do. Father Christmas admitted his issues. He felt a bit ashamed, red face.
“Let me call an executive coach”, he said silently. “It is not that simple”, the mirror replied, “you need to find a very special coach, that reads your mind. Not everyone can read the mind of the master.” Okay, it was not easy. What is easy in life? Giving presents is easy. As Father Christmas he did that all the time.
The team needed to give a helping hand. It was in their best interest as well. The plan was to write a vacancy and to add all skills that were in demand to solve Father Christmas' case. They did that and then send out the document in all four corners of the world. The coaches were happy, would they be selected? Almost like the shoe that has to fit but that is part of another charming story.
One coach after the other came to visit the master, but none of them was capable to read the mind. The mirror was the tester. “Denied”, he said, “denied”. Until one sunny day, it was still cold outside, do not get me wrong, we are in the middle of the winter season, a human being knocked on the big red door.
The mirror felt some special vibes. Father Christmas opened his door. The human being said: “I am a great listener.” That was all. The mirror clapped his hands. Yes, in stories mirror can clap their hands. Accept it. The master' mind told him all his stories. The human being listened patiently. He understood that Father Christmas had issues with communication and had a health issue.
“You have stuck emotions. Your muscles contain emotional memory what you have endured in life”, concluded the human being. Once we are able to release the emotions, you will feel much better and be a better communicator." The mirror put his best light on. "That is him, that is him, we have found the one, he screamed."
The coach was humble and laughed. The teacher appears when the student is ready. Father Christmas and the coach worked together for some weeks, intensive program. The old man felt young again after some time with lots of fresh energy. Father Christmas and his team never did better. The excellence of communication was achieved.
And the coach, he was asked to do one big wish. To return him the favor for all the good he did. “I wish that I can help all children worldwide to remain innocent and have lots of great adventures.” Father Christmas and the mirror and the entire holy team approved the request. Every child can now tap into the magic of the coach, whenever they need it. Even Father Christmas felt like a young boy again.

Oh St Nicholas well I hope he gets in touch with Father Christmas. I am sure they are willing to mirror the great experience. Troubles halved equals a double reward.

I understand St Nicholas has similar problems earlier in December each year maybe they and their coaches should share their thoughts on solving the problems
Remember though optimists say a trouble shared is a troubled halved. Whereas pessimists say its a trouble doubled
