    We willen als publieke dienstverlener een sleutelrol spelen op het vlak van mobiliteit en zo een essentiële schakel vormen op sociaaleconomisch gebied. Iedereen heeft elke dag recht op en nood aan mobiliteit: om naar het werk of naar school te gaan of in de vrije tijd. We willen alle klanten een veilige, betrouwbare en duurzame mobiliteit aanreiken, van deur tot deur, en waarbij onze treinen een centrale plaats innemen als vervoermiddel bij uitstek voor grote groepen reizigers tussen grote centra en in voorstadsgebied en ook ter ontsluiting van meer landelijke gebieden.


    Hoe maak jij mee het verschil?

    Als Optimalisatie Engineer sta je in voor het continu verbeteren en optimaliseren van projecten. Je wordt hierbij begeleid en aangestuurd door het management van de dienst Centrale Engineering, dat instaat voor de coördinatie van de projecten. Je werkt in de Centrale Werkplaats in Mechelen. Hier worden treinstellen periodiek, preventief en curatief onderhouden.

    Wat is jouw rol bij NMBS ?

    • Je werkt actief mee aan de voorbereiding, uitrol en ondersteuning van diverse projecten. Het gaat hierbij hoofdzakelijk over nieuwe (of verbeteringen aan) onderhoudstrajecten van passagierstreinen en het herstellen van wisselstukken.
    • Je staat mee in voor het ontwikkelen, optimaliseren en implementeren van nieuwe activiteiten en projecten. Hierbij zijn efficiëntie, kosten, kwaliteit, veiligheid en betrouwbaarheid erg belangrijk.
    • Je analyseert de logistieke activiteiten en werkplaatsinrichting in de productieomgeving en optimaliseert deze op meerdere vlakken: kosten, nodige bewegingen, veiligheid, efficiëntie tijdens uitvoering, ...
    • Je verdiept je in lopende projecten met het oog op mogelijkheden tot verbetering en vereenvoudiging.
    • Je zorgt voor het documenteren en het overbrengen van mogelijke optimalisaties en concepten aan zowel je managementteam als de interne klanten.
    • Je onderhoudt een goede communicatie met je collega's en interne klanten en je streeft steeds een duurzame professionele relatie na.

    Je beschikt over een bachelor diploma in een technische richting (bv elektromechanica, werktuigbouw, autotechnologie, ...). Ervaring in optimalisatie/lean/5S is een pluspunt.
    OF je hebt minimum 5 jaar relevante ervaring in optimalisatie/lean/5S in een industriële technische omgeving.

    Daarnaast:

    • Je hebt aantoonbare technische en/of logistieke kennis of ervaring (bijvoorbeeld in elektriciteit, mechanica, werkstand design, logistieke planning, ...).
    • Je hebt logisch inzicht en begrijpt snel hoe processen en systemen werken.
    • Je hebt ervaring/interesse in SHEQ (Safety-Health-Environment-Quality) in een productieomgeving en hebt oog voor veiligheid.
    • Je hebt ervaring/interesse in continue verbetering van productieprocessen (lean production, 5S, logistieke flows, ...).
    • Je hebt uitstekende communicatievaardigheden in het Nederlands (kennis Frans is een pluspunt).
    • Je hebt een goede kennis van de MS-Office pakketten Word en Excel. Ervaring met SAP is een pluspunt.
    • Je bent in staat om je eigen werk te plannen en organiseren maar je kan ook vlot samenwerken met andere teams en afdelingen.
    • Je hebt een goede dosis verantwoordelijkheidsgevoel en werkt resultaats- en klantgericht.
    • Je werkt in dagdienst. Je bent wel flexibel in je werkuren om projecten tot een goed einde te kunnen brengen.
