The British Junior Academy of Brussels is located in the diplomatic residential area of Brussels and the diverse intake is reflected in our proximity to the main institutions of the EU, major NGOs and offices of multinational companies. Our ethos is grounded in providing a safe, caring, respectful, tolerant and disciplined environment where high standards prevail in all areas of school life. The school has approximately 270 pupils and a teaching staff of 40.
The school is seeking an experienced Key Stage Three/Four teacher with a specialisation in English, with a strong background in UK Upper Preparatory education or Secondary education. The ideal candidate will have the ability to teach another subject in a form setting and collaborate with other subject specialist teachers as required. The successful candidate will be expected to undertake a pastoral role in the school and to contribute to the school's co-curriculum. This role also encompasses curriculum development for our expanding secondary school as we grow organically year by year up to Year 13.
We are looking for a hard-working, energetic and talented English Teacher who shares our excitement at the prospect of developing our school into secondary. An ability to work as a team-player and be flexible are pre-requisites for the part.
