    About Our Client

    Our client is an international bank located in Luxembourg and would like to accelerate expansion to the Belgium market.

    Job Description

    As a member of the Wealth Management team, the future employee will lead a sales team initially based in Luxembourg and currently made up of around twenty employees at the bank's office. His or her mission will be to expand the portfolio of Belgian clients in the bank's HNWI/UNWI segment and their assets under management.

    To accelerate this expansion, in a second phase, the Belgian branch manager will be directly involved in setting up an office in Belgium and in recruiting and developing a local team. The team will be able to draw on the bank's wide range of services to support a sophisticated client base.

  • Identify and develop growth opportunities in Belgium and more specifically in Flanders, in line with the bank's global strategy.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
  • Manage the set-up of the Belgian branch, recruit and monitor local sales staff, define, and ensure the execution of the branch's business plan.
  • Manage and motivate the front-office team dedicated to the Belgian market (from both the parent company and the branch) to meet and exceed performance targets.
  • Ensure the ongoing training of his staff to maintain a high level of competence and service to customers.
  • Provide strategic and personalized wealth management advice to Belgian UHNWI clients directly or in support of the Private Bankers in the team.
  • Work closely with other departments within the bank to ensure an integrated and consistent approach to advising and managing client portfolios.
  • Ensure that all activities comply with local and international regulations.
  • Assess and manage risks associated with new business opportunities. The Successful Applicant
  • Master's degree in finance, economics or alike.
  • Significant experience (more than 15 years) in Private Banking with in-depth knowledge of the Belgian market and more specifically of Flanders market.
  • In-depth knowledge of investment products and wealth structuring for a sophisticated Belgian clientele with cross-border needs and/or economic links with Luxembourg.
  • A strong entrepreneurial spirit, a taste for challenge and a desire to embark on a new phase for the bank and to become fully involved in this expansion project.
  • Proven ability to develop business and build long-term client relationships, particularly with company directors/entrepreneurs.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills: inspiring, motivating and leading towards excellence, while cultivating a collaborative and positive working environment.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, distinguished by the ability to build trusting relationships, navigate complex interactions with ease, demonstrating empathy, diplomacy, and effective communication at all levels.
  • Excellent professional reputation.
